Greene said that Trump showed zero compassion toward her amid death threats to her kids and her, adding that there were so many she couldn’t count them.
Marjorie Taylor Greene has opened up about the number of death threats she received while Trump was publicly attacking her, and the president’s shockingly unsympathetic attitude toward her at the time.
The former United States representative shared her story on Piers Morgan Uncensored
revealing Trump’s extremely cold response. She said she reached out to the president via text to flag the death threats she was receiving, saying she “couldn’t even count how many” there were.
When those death threats started to be directed at Greene’s children, she shared the escalation with all the top members of the Trump administration, including the Vice President, FBI Director Kash Patel, and President Trump. Greene said the death threats had sprung from Trump labeling her a “traitor” to her country. This comes as Trump shared a harrowing 9-word warning about how long the Iran war could last. “Standing up for rape victims doesn’t make me a traitor,” Greene said, referring to her campaign for the release of Department of Justice files related to sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, which led to her falling out of favor with the White House.
She added that Trump was “very unkind about these death threats” and said he “blamed me, he had no compassion for death threats on my children.”
He blamed me, basically, that if my son were to get killed, it would be my fault,” Greene said.
She added that she told the president, “No one’s children should ever
be the victim of death threats” because of their parents’ politics. However, Trump allegedly continued to show zero compassion for Greene’s situation. “It’s like a nail in the coffin, it tells me exactly who Donald Trump is,” Greene told Piers Morgan, “I don’t know what kind of person basically has no compassion or care for someone’s child being threatened to be killed. It’s unimaginable, really.” Trump spoke about his fallout with Greene at a North Carolina rally in December, saying that he didn’t return her phone calls and calling her “highly neurotic.”
The pair’s relationship soured after the former close Trump ally began calling for a complete release of the files on deceased pedophile Epstein, during which she publicly questioned whether Trump was “still America first”.
The president, who is not one to take personal criticism well, responded by revoking his endorsement of her and calling her out on social media. Later, in April, he congratulated Clay Fuller for taking Greene’s seat in Congress.
“Marjorie ‘Traitor’ Brown’s (GREEN TURNS TO BROWN UNDER STRESS!) seat in Congress has been taken over by a wonderful and talented man, Clay Fuller, who won convincingly,” he wrote on Truth Social, adding, “Congratulations to Clay Fuller, a very large improvement over his deranged predecessor!”
