Ron DeSantis is doing what every strong governor should do — stopping radical Islamic groups like CAIR from buying influence and spreading their ideology inside Florida. CAIR has a long history of ties to extremism and pushing agendas that clash with American values. Banning their money from flowing into Islamic organizations is common sense self-defense.
Muslim advocacy groups shouldn’t be allowed to fund influence operations in our schools, mosques, and communities while demanding special treatment and Sharia accommodations. Florida is sending a clear message: we will not let foreign or radical ideologies take root on our soil.
This is leadership. While other politicians cower or pander for votes, DeSantis protects his state and its citizens. America needs more governors and leaders willing to draw hard lines against groups that promote division and supremacism.
