Barr Willis Trump Prosecution Allegations From Whistleblower
The Barr Willis Trump prosecution allegations come from whistleblower Patrícia Lélis. She claims former Attorney General William Barr coordinated with Fani Willis.
Willis serves as district attorney in Fulton County, Georgia. She filed 2020 election-related RICO charges against Donald Trump and 18 co-defendants.
Lélis said Barr and Willis held secret meetings in Washington, D.C.. She claimed the meetings discussed legal strategies targeting Trump.
Meetings Allegedly Planned Legal and Media Strategies
Lélis worked for a public relations firm led by Armstrong Williams in 2021. She said she attended dozens of meetings with Barr, Willis, and others.
She provided handwritten notes from meetings held between 2021 and 2023. Additionally, she shared the documents with Project Veritas.
One meeting on September 6, 2021 included Barr and CNN commentator Shermichael Singleton. The group reportedly discussed a media strategy supporting Congress’ January 6 investigation.
Targets Named in Meeting Notes
Lélis wrote that investigations would focus on people close to Trump. Her notes also listed possible investigation targets.
Those names included Steve Bannon and Rudy Giuliani. Other names included Stewart Rhodes, Enrique Tarrio, and Jeffrey Clark.
The notes also mentioned groups such as the Oath Keepers and the Proud Boys. Later, many of these individuals received subpoenas from the January 6 committee.
Additional Meetings and Legal Planning
Photos from March 15, 2022 reportedly show Barr entering Sinclair Broadcast Group. According to Lélis, Barr met Willis and federal prosecutor Jack Smith.
Smith later filed charges against Trump in Florida over classified documents. The case involved documents Trump allegedly refused to return to the National Archives.
Lélis said Barr predicted an FBI raid on Trump’s residence would happen soon. Five months later, agents searched Trump’s Mar-a-Lago property.
RICO Strategy and Political Motive Claims
Meeting notes dated January 19, 2023 referenced another planned meeting. Additional notes from February 27, 2023 confirmed that the meeting occurred.
During that meeting, Barr allegedly suggested pursuing RICO charges against Trump. Lélis said Barr described racketeering charges as difficult to defend.
Several co-defendants later pleaded guilty and agreed to testify. Meanwhile, Lélis claimed the meetings aimed to prevent Trump from returning to the presidency.
She also alleged Willis worked with a social media team. According to Lélis, the team created online posts supporting the prosecution.
